SURFACE PREPARATION
Surface must be clean, dry and free of loose or protruding material – sand surface lightly if necessary.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
1. Using the spatula provided, press filler firmly into hole/crack and smooth off. Spakfilla Rapid exhibits virtually no shrinking, so there is no need to overfill.
2. If necessary, once completely set (30 minutes in thin applications), Spakfilla Rapid can be lightly sanded prior to painting with water-based paints. Minimal sanding required for a smooth finish.
TIPS
- Expect longer drying times in cold or humid conditions.
- For oil-based paints, allow 24 hours before painting.
- If filler is found to have stiffened prior to use, stir product.
- Product that has hardened should be discarded. If still too dry add one teaspoon of water and stir again to desired consistency.
- Application tools may be cleaned with water.
- Before painting, clean dust and loose filler particles using Selleys Sugar Soap or Selleys Super Kleen.
- In exterior applications, protect from rain until dry and painted over with 2 coats of paint.
- Some paints may temporarily discolour when applied over the filler but will revert to the correct colour once dry.
CLEAN UP
- Uncured product may be removed with water.
- Cured product can be removed by scraping or sanding.
